Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 August 2026

This policy explains what personal data likedTV collects when you use likedtv.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have over it. We are the data controller for that information.

1. What we collect

When you buy a subscription: your name, email address, and where you provide it, your phone number. Payment is handled by our payment provider on their own secure page. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded along with an order reference. We never see or store your card number.

When you contact us: the contact details you give us and the content of your message, so we can answer and keep a record of the support history on your account.

When you visit the site: standard server log data, including IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of the request. This is generated automatically by the web server.

2. Why we use it, and on what legal basis

  • To provide the service you bought and send your login details. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • To answer support requests. Legal basis: performance of a contract, and our legitimate interest in running a support function.
  • To keep accounting and tax records. Legal basis: a legal obligation.
  • To keep the site secure and investigate abuse or fraud. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the service.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

3. Who we share it with

We share data only with providers who need it to run the service:

  • Our payment provider, to process your payment and handle refunds and disputes
  • Our hosting provider, which stores the website and its database
  • Messaging and email providers, where you choose to contact us that way

We may also disclose data where we are legally required to.

4. Cookies

The site uses cookies that are necessary for it to work, such as keeping your session and remembering your preferences. If analytics or marketing cookies are added in future, we will ask for your consent first, and you will be able to withdraw it at any time.

5. How long we keep it

Account and order data is kept for as long as your subscription is active, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to retain the records. Support correspondence is kept while it is useful for handling your account. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes and then overwritten.

6. Your rights

If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, the GDPR gives you the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Ask us to delete your data, where we are not required to keep it
  • Ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where our use is based on consent

To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live.

7. International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards permitted under GDPR, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

8. Children

The service is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
